American Institute of Architecture Students

ASID Spring 2009 Kickoff Meeting

Friday, January 30, 2009, 6pm

The Loft, 2nd floor, 320 Newbury Street

ASID | The American Society of Interior Designers BAC Student Chapter, will be joining AIAS and other student groups to start the semester at the BAC. Current paid members will receive their 2009 ASID membership packets and cards at this event. All others are invited to join ASID and learn about this professional student organization from the current board members. Dinner will be provided!

Remember: All student organization members are eligible to receive PRACTICE CREDIT for activity in student groups including ASID!! Contact for more information.


All students are invited to attend an off-campus back-to-school gathering at the Pour House, 907 Boylston St., Boston, Friday, January 30, 2009, 7pm, at the conclusion of the student meeting in the Loft. All ages are welcome! Contact for more information.

Join the National Organization of Minority Architects in 2009 (Membership Meeting 02/03/09)

All students are welcomed & encouraged to join NOMA for another exciting semester at the BAC. 2009 proves to be an exciting year with the following activities/opportunities slated:

  • NOMA Competition sketch problem: The project will be presented at the 2009 NOMA conference for cash prizes.
  • Mentor high school youth interested in design.
  • Planning committees for the 2010 NOMA Convention in Boston.
  • Free BSA membership

Federal Work Study Open House

  • Who: All FWS Students and Supervisors are requested to attend. All BAC students/staff/faculty are kindly invited to stop by and visit to learn more about the Federal Work-Study Program
  • Where: 320 Newbury St. -- 2nd floor Loft
  • When: Wednesday, February 4th, 2009
  • Time: 4:00pm-7:30pm

Refreshments will be provided. Space will be provided for each supervisor. Students will have an opportunity to review Work-Study job descriptions and discuss FWS positions with prospective supervisors. Please join us to learn about the Federal Work-Study Program at the BAC!
