The Boston Architectural College School of Interior Design Programs Receive Six-Year Re-accreditation

The Boston Architectural College is proud to announce the reaccreditation of its’ Bachelor and Master of Interior Design programs for six-year terms. The Accreditation Commission of the Council for Interior Design Accreditation (CIDA) commended the BAC for programs that remain “true to the BAC’s tradition of practitioners enriching and preparing future practitioners” and for creating “a learning environment that promotes individual thinking, creativity, collaboration and professionalism for all students who attend.” CIDA further recognized the dedication and perseverance of BAC students and the high level of professionalism that results from participation in the fully concurrent curriculum.

Upon receiving formal notification from CIDA, Head of the School of Interior Design, Dave Harrison, commented, “Accreditation is an outward, visible symbol of an inner, invisible commitment. The BAC values our accreditors’ standards because, for our students to be well prepared to deal with turbulent economic times, we must offer them the most professional interior design education we can provide. We very much appreciate CIDA’s recognition of our faculty’s, students’ and employers’ adherence to high standards of teaching and learning in the classroom, and in Practice.”
