the Neighborhood Photography Project

Common Boston is Now Accepting Submissions for the Neighborhood Photograph Project! We welcome your submissions!

Explore the neighborhoods of Jamaica Plain, Ashmont, Chinatown, and Fort Point Channel and think of yourself as a photojournalist. Or a documentary artist.

Where are people most connected? Where are they welcome and home? Your ultimate challenge is to answer through photography: "where do you feel most connected to the neighborhood?"

Feel free to include people in your photos: Highlight the symbiosis between people and places in Boston. The goal of this project is to unveil Boston as a city of buildings, streets, and parks with close emotional ties to the diversity of residents and their families who use them.

Photos that best illustrate the point will be displayed and credited in our on-line gallery, and the very best will be displayed in public spaces in Boston neighborhoods during the Common Boston festival.

-More details and guidelines for submission may be found at: cbphotoproject.org
-The deadline for all photo submissions is May 10, 2009.
-Additional questions may be directed to info@commonboston.org.
