This year’s theme is “No Fear of Heights!” As the skyscraper has once again become a focal point of architectural conversation around the world, the competition is challenging students to design and build an iconic structure to be located any where in the world.
After submitting concept sketches, a group of five upper-level BAC students – Christos Ntanas, Jennifer Newland, Jonathan Garland, Randolph Wolters, and Brian Vester – qualified for the finals. They will travel to Chicago May 7-9 to present their work to a panel of industry professionals.
The National Skyscraper Design Challenge is sponsored by Chicago Architecture Today, the College of Architecture - IIT and the CTBUH.
