Solar Decathlon Team Boston Needs Your Support

Construction on the Curio house has begun with portable concrete footings. Team Boston needs your support to remain on the construction schedule. Material and cash donations are needed.

Overview of the Solar Decathlon: The Solar Decathlon is a project of the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) in partnership with DOE's National Renewable Energy Laboratory. The Decathlon is comprised of ten graded competitions in areas including design, energy usage and marketability. Following a comprehensive design process and construction phase, teams transport the houses to the National Mall in Washington DC where they will be judged and open to the public for viewing. During this year's competition, over 250,000 people are expected to visit the solar village.

With your help we will find the building materials, appliances, construction equipment, and cash for the construction and transportation of the house and crew to Washington, D.C.

Become part of the growing network of firms, alumni, individuals, families, and organizations, all dedicated to furthering the idea of sustainable living.
