Competition :: SHIFTBoston Ideas Competition :: Due Friday, December 11

The BSA encourages everyone with visionary ideas shaping Boston's future to enter the SHIFTBoston ideas competition, which is co-sponsored by the BSA. The competition is calling on all architects, artists, landscape architects, urban designers, engineers, and anyone else who would like to tackle the question: WHAT IF this could happen in Boston?

SHIFT seeks to collect visions that aim to enhance and electrify the urban experience in Boston. Innovative, radical ideas for new city elements such as public art, landscape, architecture, urban intervention, and transportation. Competitors could explore topics such as the future city, energy efficiency, and ecological urbanism.

We seek to drive a SHIFT in thinking, perception, attitude, definition, process, method, planning, and organization in order to re-energize Boston’s urban environment. We are here to move Boston forward. Be part of the SHIFT!

Awards: The winning entry will receive a cash prize of US$1,000. Honored projects are expected to be displayed on a billboard, bus shelters, and subway cars in the Boston Metropolitan area. All eligible entries will be promoted on the SHIFTboston blog and website. The winning entry along with honored projects will become part of the SHIFTboston Forum.

Submission deadline: Friday, December 11
