Internship Opportunity :: Ghana :: Apply by April 1

The Chife Foundation is planning and designing a new city for the community of Anam in Eastern Nigeria. This settlement is envisioned to be exemplary in its approach to environmental, economic and social sustainability. Self-sufficiency, livability, maximized use of local resources and efficient design schemes are important objectives. The ultimate goal is to create a prototype for new (as well as existing) African cities, thereby creating a model for sustainable development on the continent. Apply to be considered for an internship (Architecture, Urban/Community Planning, Urban Law, or Engineering) and work in Ghana this summer.

Internship dates: June 1st – August 15th, 2010

Selected interns will be provided:
• Roundtrip travel arrangements & other work related travel expenses (Interns will be based in Accra, Ghana but regular travel to Nigeria will require a multiple entry visa to both countries)
• Basic housing with furnishing
• Internet Access
• $750/month Stipend
