Atelier, the Student Government of the Boston Architectural College, would like to recognize the outstanding work of Hadiya Strasberg. Hadiya served as the school's first Coordinator of Student Development, working under the newly appointed Associate Provost and Dean of Students, Richard Griswold. The Student Development Office, created and expanded over the last several years, aims to improve student life and build our community.
Hadiya wore many hats at the BAC, serving as a facilitator of student events and activities, supporter of initiatives, and advisor to those of us deeply entrenched in the inner workings of the school. Her unending efforts to build and strengthen the BAC community have opened many avenues for student growth. Her intelligence and attention to detail has allowed students to comfortably connect with staff of the BAC in a very positive manner.
Besides the work she did with and for the students of the BAC, Hadiya also volunteered her "free time", always going above and beyond. She served as a key team member during the construction of the Curio House as part of 2009 Solar Decathlon, frequently working late into the night and over weekends to ensure the successful completion of the project.
Hadiya's hard work and talent has made an enduring effect on the quality of the BAC community, especially in the lives of the students. Her personality, sense of humor, and interpersonal skills engender her to everyone around her. She has quickly become a good friend and strong ally of Atelier, and many students of the college. Hadiya will surely be missed for her hard work and dedication to the students.
Hadiya, we appreciate everything you have done for us and thank you profusely. The effects of your efforts will be felt long after you are gone. We wish you the best of luck on your future endeavors.
