Inside: Out IV
Wednesday November 17, 2010
10:30 am - 12 pm at Build Boston | Session A18
Seaport World Trade Center, Boston MA
Explore how different approaches to design education in architecture and interior design draw upon distinct and overlapping bodies of knowledge in preparing graduates for the challenges now facing the design professions.
Discussions on curricular overlaps and distinctions between interior design and architecture began in 2008; this will be the final session in a national conversation. Design practitioners with an interest in the preparation of students who will enter the design professions are particularly welcome to participate.
This national conversation has taken place at the University of Cincinnati, the Association of Collegiate Schools of Architecture (ACSA) Annual Administrators' meeting in Savannah, and the Interior Designers Education Council (IDEC) annual conference in St. Louis.
Inside:Out will be presented in conjunction with Build Boston. At Build Boston, the Boston Society of Architects hosts nationally and internationally recognized design and building industry leaders to share their experience in over 200 workshops, sessions, symposiums and tours. Registration for Inside:Out requires an $85 registration fee that covers the cost of CEU credits and access to the exhibition floor. You can register for Inside: Out as well as other Build Boston workshops, sessions, symposiums and tours here.
