Holcim Awards - Next Generation (Student) Category
Open for entries through March 23, 2011.
The “Next Generation” category is open to student projects created within university programs at final-year bachelor level or above (including masters and PhD). All project authors must be final-year bachelor students or above for part/all of the entry period (July 1, 2010 to March 23, 2011).
Submissions in the Next Generation category use the same Online Entry Form as used for the Holcim Awards (main) category at: www.holcimawards.org/enter
Entries in both the Holcim Awards (main) category and “Next Generation” category must select the Project group from one of three options:
-Project group 1: Building and civil engineering works
-Project group 2: Landscape, urban design and infrastructure
-Project group 3: Materials, products and construction technologies
The Next Generation prize, which is open to students (landscape architects, too!) in their final year of a bachelor's program or any graduate level.
Promising young professionals and international students from leading technical universities will benefit from the opportunity to:
-Profit of the platform the Holcim Foundation offers to establish myself in the field of sustainable construction.
-Attend an international conference on sustainable construction.
-Gain international exposure and access to some of the leading proponents of sustainable construction from internationally renowned technical universities.
-Increase employment prospects through participating in events organized by the Holcim Foundation for Sustainable Construction.
-Participate in the Awards competition and profit from an individual prize-category.
