Dear Student,

We would like to take this opportunity to give you information on the financial aid process for the 2011-2012 fall and spring semesters. We understand it seems a bit early, but it never hurts to be a step ahead!

Whether you are a seasoned financial aid recipient or new to the process, please visit www.fafsa.ed.gov to begin applying for 2011-2012. It’s now easier than ever, due to the many steps taken by the federal government to streamline and simplify the application process.

Note:  For the first time, student borrowers are now able to pull 2010 tax return information into their FAFSA applications. Internal Revenue Service (IRS) tax information filed online will be transferred onto the FAFSA application by clicking on a link. The tax information will automatically be filled in and eliminate additional tax questions.

The priority deadline for completing your 2011-2012 FAFSA is April 15th, 2011. If you complete your application before this date, you may not only be eligible for the best financial aid package available, you will also have your file completed and ready to go for fall registration.

It is important to remember that students who do not get their FAFSA in on time may be responsible for paying the tuition charges without the help of financial aid.

If you have any questions, or would like guidance through this process don’t hesitate to contact the Financial Aid office at 617-585-0125 or via email at finaid@the-bac.edu. Please remember any counselor would be happy to set up an appointment to answer any questions you may have.

Office Hours are:

Monday-Thursday 9am-7:30pm / Friday 9 am-5 pm.

We wish you a happy and successful 2011!
