Carving Out Freedom Sculpture
Friday May 27, 2011 from 10 am – 2 pm
City Hall Plaza, Boston MA
Join NECHV on City Hall Plaza this Friday, May 27th from 10am – 2pm where master wood sculptor “The Machine” Jesse Green will carve out a symbol of freedom in honor of all our Armed Forces and Veterans who defend our freedom in the war against terror.
With chain saw in hand, Jesse will create, from a 6 foot tree trunk, an enduring symbol of America’s freedom. Once complete, this sculpture will be on permanent display in the main lobby of the New England Center for Homeless Veterans (NECHV) to honor the service men and women who defend our freedom.
“Veterans have given us everything we have,” says Jesse Green, “that’s why on May 27th we hope you can come over to City Hall Plaza and join us in between 10 am and 2 pm where I carve out a symbol of freedom as a gift to the veterans of the NECHV.”
