This exhibit will showcase the educational activities developed by the Flocks team focusing on the subject of human migration, understanding of art in public spaces and its effect on community.
9th grade CRLS students developed their own public art proposals and projects with the help of Boston Architectural College students. The activities developed for the K-8 classes at King Open School focused on human migration and reflection of how Flocks has changed their school’s surroundings.
Students were encouraged to create individual and group art projects that documented their family’s migration story. Maps, decorated birds, stories, wings, photo-collages, and an installation of student-made birds in the school’s cafeteria were part of this body of work. We hope you can join us!
