Meets at community garden along Terminal Street,
next to the soccer field
Led by David Hansen, a BAC student and community-gardening enthusiast, this tour will explore the Charlestown Community Garden and discuss the garden’s history and lessons that are as diverse as the neighborhood it serves.
Located on Terminal Street between the Charlestown Community Center and the Boston Autoport, this relatively young garden tells a story that has been continually evolving and growing year-round for more than a decade.
Learn how the Charlestown Community Garden is a rich example of opportunities and lessons in community gardening, and in growing not only fresh and healthy produce but also a diverse and healthy community.
