Recap :: AIAS BAC First General Body Meeting

The year has begun with the fall breeze of walking from Mass. Ave. Building to 320 Newbury; new sketchbooks and traces; cramping out Structures homework in the Learning Resource Center; long nights in Studio; and maintaining a well-balanced schedule between academics and professional work.  How about a social life?

Well, great news!  Last Friday, September 16, 2011, we, the American Institute of Architecture Students Boston Architectural (AIAS BAC) had their First General Body Meeting of the 2011-2012 school year and it was a wonderful turn out!

Agenda highlighted our new officers, membership information, (, upcoming event Northeast Quad Conference(September 29 through October 2;, a brief of events and plan within the BAC Community, Treasurer and Committee Chairs nominations, and the collaboration with Atelier, National Organization of Minority Architecture Students Boston Architectural (NOMAS BAC), and other student organizations.

Thank you for everyone who participated in discussion, questions and concerns, coming out to see what we are all about and what we have in store for this upcoming semester!  It was fabulous to see a social networking break amongst the BAC Community over snacks and refreshments whether you are a returning student or new student with AIAS.

If you would like to know more about AIAS BAC, please feel free to email us at and find us on Facebook page (AIAS BAC). Missed out this time around?  We have a monthly meeting every 3rd Friday every month, at 6PM, Room 507, in the 320 Newbury Building (next meeting October 21).  Come and join us, all are welcome!
