Elizabeth Kneiper, a naturalist with a special interest in lichens, will introduce us to the characteristics and biology of the plant worlds'
most interesting composite organisms - lichens.

Most people hardly notice them, although they grow on most moist surfaces and give character to rocks and old trees. We will study a variety of common, local lichens, using photos and specimens. This program will be held indoors.

This event is sponsored by the Friends of the Fresh Pond Reservation.
