Give Luck a Chance!

The ProArts Consortium invites you to its first annual Spring Arts Festival to be hosted by Berklee College of Music on Friday the 13th of April. In honor of Friday the 13th, students from across the six ProArts member schools will present works revolving around the themes of Luck, Accident, and Improvisation.
Give Luck a Chance features a combination of performance, film, and installations that span several spaces on Berklee's campus. There will be five performances highlighting collaborative work in The Red Room @ Café 939 (939 Boylston), the Loft (921 Bolyston), and live performance from the Berklee Internet Radio Network (BIRN) studio.
Some of the highlights include:
-Performance Poetry by MassArt and Emerson students
-An Improvisational film score of the Cabinet of Dr. Caligari by Berklee students
-An exploration of sculpture, dance, and sound by SMFA and Boston Conservatory students
-Improvisational music, art, and performance by Berklee, SMFA, and Emerson students
-Video, Music, and Dance improvisation by Berklee and MassArt students
In addition to our performance venues, there will be also be installation work created by Emerson, Berklee, SMFA, and MassArt students presented throughout the event spaces. These include:
-Cybertherapy -a technology and social media work by an Emerson student
-Handmade Microtonal instruments built by a Berklee student
-Sound and Vision by SMFA and Berklee students
-Oscilloscope installation by a SMFA student
Our event will also feature a film screening room (Room 411, 921 Boyston) presenting short film and animation work created by SMFA, Emerson, and MassArt students. So come and join us at Give Luck a Chance on Friday the 13th of April. Doors open at 7:00 and the evening ends at 11:00. Space is limited so come early!
