The BAC Interior Design Society (ids) Elections



All members of the BAC Interior Design Society leadership are a team. They are meant to work as a committee in order to distribute responsibilities, thus having the ability to reach out to students and address their needs. The team will have a monthly meeting to discuss upcoming events, address issues and student concerns, and plan how to further benefit the student body.

The following officer positions are available for the 2012-2013 academic year: President, Vice President -ASID (ASID BAC Chapter President), Vice President - IIDA (IIDA BAC Chapter President), Secretary, Treasurer, and Publicity + Web Coordinator.

For more information on each of these roles, please see the above and below jpgs. If you are interested in running, please submit a brief statement (100 words or less) as to why you would like to run for their chosen position to bac.id@the-bac.edu by Wednesday April 11th.


ids Officer Position Eligibility Requirements
-Currently enrolled as a full-time student at the BAC, with 2 prior consecutive semesters of full-time enrollment.
-Maintain a 3.0 minimum cumulative GPA.
-Maintain Practice Compliance: all modes of practice assessment are up to date.
-Not delayed in the portfolio review sequence and schedule: meaning a student’s path to graduation is not being delayed by the submission or resubmission of a portfolio.
-Currently a member of ASID and/or IIDA.
-President must have served on the BAC Interior Design Society Board for a minimum of one semester.
-In addition to the above requirements, the Vice President - ASID (ASID BAC Chapter President) must be a member of ASID, and IIDA (IIDA BAC Chapter President) must be a member of IIDA.
-Web Coordinator must have experience with the Adobe Creative Suite or the like.
