$5,000 Scholarship Opportunity

The Roy Viklund Scholarship was established in June of 2005 with a gift from Sasaki Associates to honor the memory of Roy Viklund. Roy was a BAC graduate who worked at Sasaki for over thirty years, twenty of those as a principal. Roy served in Vietnam and returned to the States to pursue a career in architecture. It was through the support of the BAC that he was able to achieve that dream.

To apply, students must:
-Be in Segment II or beyond
-Have unmet financial need
-Submit a 1000-5000 word essay that addresses their philosophy of design, the benefits and challenges inherent in a concurrent curriculum and articulate the values and character traits that have guided them through their program at the BAC.

Essays will be reviewed by the Honors & Awards Committee who will then select up to 5 finalists to participate in an interview round. The winner of the scholarship will be awarded $5,000 which will be credited to their Fall 2012 semester.
