We had traded our beach day so we could go to the Rhumba at the Callejon de Hamel.  We organized cabs from the Hotel to the Plaza de Martires, where we spent about an hour doing sketches and photos.  From there, we walked to the Callejon de Hamel to experience the Rhumba.  After the Rhumba members of the studio divided into different groups to do their last-minute things in Havana.

We came back together at 6 pm at the Hostal Conde de Villanueva in La Habana Vieja for the opening reception of the 6th Havana Urban Design Charrette being conducted by the Cuban and Norwegian chapters of INTBAU and CEU.  Members of the studio met architecture students from Canada as well as Cuban, Norwegian, Serbian, Canadian, and American architects and urban designers.

After the reception, the group divided again for a last night.  Some people visited new-found Cuban friends, others when to the Tropicana, and others went to the Cafe Bertolt Brecht for disco.

Monday, February 20, 2012 - Final Day
John left the group with Luis so he could start up the 6th Urban Design Charrette. Yule and the driver picked up the group at noon for the flight back to Miami.  The charter left Havana an hour late, so the group missed its scheduled flight.  Eight of the 13 people were able to get on the next flight that night, and the remaining five spent the night in Miami.  They took the first flight out the next day, and they were in Boston by early afternoon.
