BAC Establishes Ada Louise Huxtable Fellowship

The Boston Architectural College is proud to announce that the College has been selected by the OneWorld Boston Grant Program, a Cummings Foundation Affiliate, to receive a $100,000 grant over the course of two years to establish the Ada Louise Huxtable Fellowship.

The Fellowship will pay tribute to the remarkable design leadership career of Ada Louise Huxtable, Pulitzer Prize winning architectural critic, by establishing an honors program in civic engagement and service learning within the BAC's Gateway to Practice Initiative.

Ms. Huxtable's passion for effective design, persuasive critical analysis, and uncompromisingly high standards have, in the words of Ted Landsmark, President of the Boston Architectural College, "inspired the general public and design practitioners to understand the importance of good design as it improves the joy and experience of the spaces within which we live, work and play. Her voice has transcended formalism and consistently brought attention to how design can address the needs of real people in varying cultural contexts."
