Deadline: September 1st, 2012 at 11:59 pm
In the face of the growing digital age, information is exchanged faster and more efficiently than ever before, making way for global economic growth and an improved quality of life. This continuous spread of information is revolutionizing our education, delivery of health care, public safety, social engagement, and distribution of knowledge. However, certain populations are disconnected from these vast opportunities due to educational, economic, or geographical disadvantages.
The winner will receive a $1000 stipend to pursue their solution and recognition of excellence amongst the Better World By Design community. Furthermore, the winning entry will be automatically advanced to Dell Social Innovation Challenge’s semi-finalist round for a chance to win $50,000. Broadband RI, along with any other relevant organizations will work with the winner together to advance the project: working towards implementation, garnering resources and featuring the design as part of a campaign to connect the disconnected.
