Competition :: INTERSECT: When Transporation Corridors and Cities Collide

Registration Deadline: October 4, 2012
Registration Fee: None

Cities are full of transportation corridors  such as highways and rail lines, and when these meet at dense urban areas, choices must be made about how to properly balance the needs of the transportation modes and how it effects the city.

The competition's focus is Amtrak's main corridor through Philadelphia which lies just outside Center City, on the Western bank of the Schuylkill River. What opportunities are there for reimagining this complex hub of transit and its integration with the entire city?
