The Adeline Graves Fournier Prize was established in 1997 at the Boston Architectural College by her husband, Joseph Fournier, and her family. Adeline (Ada) Graves was a graduate and long-standing supporter of the BAC. She was a dedicated and caring friend of many generations of BAC students. This prize honors her great enthusiasm for life and art.
This prize rewards a meritorious student who demonstrates creativity, quality of work, and enthusiasm for sketching as a means of communication. $300 will be awarded to the first place recipient and $200 will be awarded to the second place recipient.
To apply, students must:
-Be enrolled in any degree program at the BAC
-Be in Segment I, II, or III and in good academic standing
-Have not previously won this prize
-Submit one current sketchbook or illustrated journal with their freehand drawings, illustrating work and impressions gained while attending the BAC. Work from previous schools should not be included. Work cannot be done on a computer.
