The Boston Architectural College is pleased to announce that the Bachelor of Interior Design and Master of Interior Design Programs have been ranked among the top ten of America’s Best Architecture & Design Schools, and the Bachelor of Architecture Program ranked among the top 15.
The rankings were released by DesignIntelligence in the publication of America’s Best Architecture & Design Schools 2013, which also identified the BAC among the top ten schools in the East Region at both the Undergraduate and Graduate levels.
DesignIntelligence also researched school branding to identify diversified strengths in architectural education, recognizing the BAC brand in the category of Embracing Design Entrepreneurship.
Additionally, more than 2,840 Architecture and Landscape Architecture students completed a separate survey about their satisfaction with their education. Ninety-four percent of BAC students believed they will be well prepared for their professions upon graduation, and nearly four of every five students rated the quality of their programs as above average.
"Professional designers today must be technically skilled, adaptable to rapidly changing market expectations, and creative in addressing diverse clients' needs," said President Ted Landsmark. "The BAC's hands-on, professionally-based, interdisciplinary approach to educating designers throughout their careers has created a global community of practitioners who share their innovative thinking on how design can address pressing human and environmental needs. The BAC's educational model brings together design entrepreneurs as practitioners and students who are working together to improve the quality of life in our world."
