Take a trip and explore Salem, MA!

Halloween might be over, but that doesn't mean you can't head up to Salem for a nice day.

On a budget? Don't worry, there are plenty of fun things to do that cost no money at all. Take some friends out for an adventure and explore. You could walk along Derby Wharf, which extends a half-mile into Salem Harbor and provides a beautiful view of Salem, Salem Harbor, and Marblehead. At the end of the Wharf is the historic Derby Light Station! You could also visit the memorial of the Salem Witch Trials of 1692, or visit some of Salem's amazing historical cemeteries. Check out the list of 10 Free Things to do in Salem for more ideas.

Interested in history - why not check out some of the museums in the area. The House of the Seven Gables is one of the town's most famous historical sites and has 330 years of history to share. There is also the architecturally stunning Peabody Essex Museum.

There are also great restaurants to take a break and get a bite to eat and a little something to drink. So yeah, maybe Halloween is over, but Salem has fun things to offer all year round. Take a trip with some friends, enjoy the falling leaves, and enjoy getting away from the reality of studio for just a little while.

If you have a car then go for a nice drive to Salem, if not you can take the Commuter Rail. For information on how to get to Salem by train, click here. For more fun activities to do in Salem, click here.
