Purpose: To recognize and reward an outstanding Interior Design student and to encourage creative thinking, exciting ideas and techniques in the design and furnishings of interior spaces.
Entry Requirements: Each school may enter up to 3 undergraduate student projects and up to 3 graduate student projects. Students must be currently enrolled in an Interior Design program. The student must attend a New England College or University in order to qualify. Projects must have been completed during their education. Projects previously submitted for the IIDA New England Interior Design Awards will not be accepted.
Recognition: Entries will be judged by design professionals outside of New England. All official entries will be showcased at the Awards presentation on February 28, 2013 at Space 57. The top 3 graduate and top 3 undergraduate entries will receive free admission to the awards program, one graduate and one undergraduate winner will each receive a $500 cash prize.
TO APPLY: Since each design school selects the entries that will represent it, email your submittal (the attachment must be under 5 MB) to Crandon Gustafson at by January 14th at 5 pm, subject line IIDA Award, and look for an acknowledgment reply.
This is an chance to get professional recognition for a project you've already done! The entry rules are simple: a floor plan, plus 2 other images (elevations, renderings, perspective are all okay), and a short write-up.
