Meet Denise Rush, Director of the Undergraduate Interior Design Program

The BAC is delighted to have Denise Rush join our staff as the Director of the Undergraduate Interior Design Program. Denise was born raised in Grand Rapids, Michigan; earned her B.A. in Interior Design from Michigan State University and her Master of Science from Spertus Institute in Chicago.

Denise is a design educator and practitioner with over 20 years of experience. She most recently taught Interior Architecture at Columbia College Chicago. She has also been an Instructor at Harrington College of Design, and the Illinois Institute of Art - Chicago.

Before going into private practice, Denise held an academic appointment as the Visiting Interior Designer at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, was a Director at the international architectural firm of Perkins + Will in Chicago, a Project Manager at the international architectural firm of the SmithGroup in Detroit, a Design Resource Director of WorkPlace Integrators in Detroit, and Head of Interiors at the regional A/E firm of Tower Pinkster Titus in Grand Rapids.

Denise has spoken at the 2011 NOMA National Conference in Atlanta; the ASID, Interiors 08 National Conference in New Orleans; and was a panelist at NeoCon 2010 in Chicago.

Brand new to Boston, Denise spends her weekends exploring her new city. Stop by Denise's office in Room 315 of 320 Newbury Street to welcome her to the BAC!
