The AD20/21 Gala Preview Party is the Boston Architectural College's premier fundraising event of the year, attracting hundreds of guests from the BAC and Boston's vibrant design community, and has been an important opportunity for the College to raise funds that enhance student experience and allow the College to continue to educate the finest emerging design professionals. This year marked the best attendance ever.
"The BAC is grateful for the support this Gala provides toward educating the next generation of emerging designers and the public as to what values are inherent in great 20th Century design," said BAC President Ted Landsmark. "The annual AD20/21 Gala tonight celebrated Boston collector John Axelrod and brought together happy supporters of great 20th Century design and fine art who also support the BAC. Collectors, educators, students, professional designers, museum curators, bon vivants, and friends found outstanding decorative arts and fine art assembled by dealers committed to advancing knowledge of the artistic attributes that underlie the rapid rise in values of the 20th Century arts that inspire innovative 21st Century interior designs."
Guests included architects, decorative arts and interior design specialists, landscape architects, museum curators, furniture dealers, builders, developers and real estate professionals, collectors, artists, bankers, fashionistas and photographers, BAC Trustees, Overseers, faculty, and students. John P. Axelrod, Collector and Philanthropist, was awarded with the Lifetime Achievement Award.
