ASLA 2013 Annual Meeting and Expo

By volunteering for four hours, you will be able to attend any four hours of non-ticketed events for free, or get a free day of workshops and sessions by volunteering for a full day. Volunteers are needed for the following positions:
Registration Greeters
(Friday – Monday)
-Direct attendees to the registration area
-Provide information on location of session rooms via program booklet
-Answer attendee questions or direct attendees to appropriate ASLA staff
(Friday – Monday)
-Monitor specific education sessions
-Help direct attendees to available seats
-Conduct session room counts before, during, and after session
-Notify an ASLA staff member if the session encounters any problems such as audio/visual malfunctions, or climate control issues
(Friday Only)
-Direct attendees to the appropriate buses
-Scan badges for continuing education credit
-Collect tickets
(Friday Only)
-Check in participating schools and provide table assignment location
-Check that all attendees have annual meeting badge
(Saturday and Sunday Only)
-Disseminate ASLA gift items to registrants
-Serve as runners in the EXPO
-Help organize books in the bookstore
-Monitor People’s Choice Awards voting
-Staff specialty booths as assigned.
(Saturday Only)
-Collect tickets as attendees arrive
-Notify ASLA staff if an attendee has arrived without a ticket
-Disseminate gift items to attendees at the end of the event
(Friday-Monday)
-Help speakers prepare for their presentations.
-Provide room location information
