Largest Global Picnic

The Nature Conservancy invites Earth Day enthusiasts to meet up with others for a worldwide picnic celebration of the earth. In addition, the Nature Conservancy will attempt to break a Guinness World Record for the largest global picnic, locally, to the soundtrack of live music courtesy of Radio 92.9. Rain or shine!

Boston Nature Center, 500 Walk Hill St, Mattapan
You know the saying: Recyle, Reduce, Reuse. Now learn the skills to do it. In conjunction with the Mass Audubon at the Boston Nature Center, kids can dig up compost and discover just which critters are helping to break it down. There will also be a scavenger hunt and craft session along with lessons about reducing water and electricity.
