Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick and Boston Mayor Thomas Menino are asking residents to observe a moment of silence today (Monday April 22, 2013) at 2:50 pm - the time of the first of the two bombs that exploded near the finish line of the Boston Marathon.

The BAC community is invited to meet in the lobby of 320 Newbury Street at 2:45 pm today to walk up to the corner of Hereford St and Boylston St, to observe the moment of silence together as a community.

The one-minute silent tribute to victims will be followed by the ringing of solemn church bells in Boston and elsewhere in Massachusetts.

Today marks one week since the attacks. We also invite all BAC students, instructors, and staff to write messages of hope, peace, and love for our Back Bay community on large banners, which will be hung in the front windows of Newbury Street on Wednesday April 24, 2013.

The banners will be available to be signed in the lobby of 320 Newbury St on the following days:
Monday April 22 from 12 pm - 7 pm
Tuesday April 22 from 9 am - 7 pm
