Common Boston Forum :: Activating the Waterfront
Wednesday, June 5, 2013 from 6:30 - 8 pm
Shepley Bulfinch, 2 Seaport Lane, 12th Floor, Boston, MA
What we see today as a beautiful civic amenity was not always this way. Once upon a time, the Boston Harbor was known as the filthiest harbor in the nation. Following close to 30 years and $20 billion in environmental and transportation improvements, the harbor has transformed into a jewel for Bostonians to enjoy.
Several local designers and nonprofits contribute to the activation of Boston Harbor’s waterfront. Join Common Boston in a conversation with local leaders who are working on these projects. This event is co-hosted by Shepley Bulfinch and Silverman Trykowski Associates and follows the “Boston Harbor Then and Now” boat tour listed amongst the Boston Harbor events.
Speakers and Panelists include:
-Dan Adams, Founder, Landing Studio, and Associate Professor of Architecture, Northeastern University
