Free attractions for Friday, June 28, 2013:

Freedom Trail Foundation
Join the period-costumed guides on a 2.5-mile walk through Boston's history along the painted red line. Tickets are first come, first served starting at 9am in the Boston Common.

Mass MoCA
This museum is worth the trip out to the Berkshires. Make sure to see the Sol LeWitt wall drawings and the Xu Bing work currently on display, though there's much more to dive into as well.

Stone Zoo
Located in Stoneham, MA on the Spot Pond Reservoir, Stone Zoo is a great place to see a variety of animals. Their special summer collection is Aussie Adventure, with koalas, kookaburras, and more.

Worcester Art Museum
In addition to a diverse permanent collection, exhibitions this summer include Nancy Spero, landscape prints by Yoshida Toshi, and Bostonians in Miniature.

Heritage Museums & Gardens
This large, landscaped space houses an automobile museum, American art gallery, and a special exhibitions gallery. Currently, the grounds are scattered with kinetic sculpture while the special gallery and automobile museum display concept cars from the mid-20th century to today.

You are invited to enjoy the beauty of the Tanglewood campus while taking part in an educational scavenger hunt, watching live performances by fellows of the Tanglewood Music Center and other local arts organization and partaking in other fun family activities. The event is free, but advance registration is recommended.
