Submission deadline: July 31, 2013
The rapid development of technology is changing the way in which people live, especially in the workplace. The continuous evolution of materials and the increasing importance of sustainability and accessibility are only a few of the factors that will influence the way our work environment looks and feels in the future.
The Workplace of the Future Design Competition is looking for visions of our work lives in 2020, whether on the scale of a global office or an individual ergonomic space. This is an opportunity to think about what our lives will be like in seven years, and how changes will affect our daily lives. Submissions are encouraged to consider sustainability, evolving technology and new building technology, and health and wellness.
The competition is sponsored by Metropolis Magazine and Business Interiors by Staples. First prize is $7,500 and publication of the design in the various media channels of the sponsors, and there is a runner up prize of $2,500.
Eligibility: Open to all designers, entrants can be individuals or teams
