BAC Student Blog Writer Needed



The Office of Student Development is looking to hire a highly motivated, detail oriented BAC student with strong written communication skills to write for our blog! This position is a temporary, part time, non-exempt position of up to 10 hours per week, providing support to the Office of Student Development. Writing assignments are short, require sharp, terse writing, but they are often deadline-driven.

Responsibilities and Duties:
-Advertise student events and campus happenings on the BAC Student Development Blog;
-Short writing assignments about BAC students and BAC student work.
-Drafts written articles, and creates graphic content for BAC Student Development Blog and BAC plasma screen;
-Attends, photographs, and documents events for posting on the BAC Student Development Blog;
-Assist in clerical duties including photocopying, filing, and shredding as needed;
-Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
-Strong communication (visual + written), and problem-solving skills;
-Current BAC degree student in good academic standing;
-Highly organized, detail oriented, creative, and reliable;
-Experience with customer service and BAC community;
-Personal interest in promoting student life is necessary;
-Available to work some evenings and occasional weekends.

Software and Technical Skill Requirements:
-Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite;
-Working knowledge of technology related to blogs, websites, and multimedia displays;
-Working knowledge of a digital SLR, and basic photography editing.
