On Wednesday, October 30, 2013, the City of Boston is hosting two significant events: an afternoon visit by President Obama to Faneuil Hall and Game Six of the World Series, in the evening.
The Mayor is concerned about the potential impact of these events on the evening commute and afternoon congestion. We are posting this information to those of you who may be planning to come into the city, so that you can use appropriate discretion in making plans for today.
The President is scheduled to be at Faneuil Hall in the mid-afternoon, and the Red Sox game starts at 7:30 pm.
Special parking and traffic restrictions will be in place, per the Boston Police, in Fenway/Kenmore and Allston/Brighton for World Series games 6 & 7. Parking will not be allowed in areas posted "no stopping police special event Weds and Thurs 4 pm to 2 am" This includes vehicles with resident parking permits. Limited parking is available for residents in the Fenway/Kenmore area at Northeastern's Camden Street Parking Lot and Columbus Street Lot.
For more information, call 617-635-4500. Thank you for your patience. Go Sox!
