More Than Your Classic Gingerbread House

By Greg Sikora, Student Life and Communications Coordinator

When thinking of gingerbread houses you probably picture a cute little simple four sided building with a gable roof.  It has gumdrop accents and frosting drawn windows.  Take that thought and throw it out the window.

Food artists Caitlin Levin and Henry Hargreaves take the gingerbread house to all new heights and style with the display they created at Dylan's Candy Bar during Art Basel Miami.  The display abandoned the cute classic houses traditionally done with the tasty cookie and created beautiful recreations of the world's most famous art museums and galleries.

Who need balsa or chip board for models? Next time you should clearly make sure your studio model is edible! For more images of Caitlin Levin and Henry Hargreaves' delectable designs check out the segment from TODAY or the post on Colossal.
