CNC Open House and Shop Safety Training

 

Shop Safety Training Session

This safety lecture is open to all BAC students and Faculty. Students are reminded that attendance to a safety lecture is necessary if you wish to use the shop equipment. If you have completed the training in previous semesters, you are not required to attend before using equipment. The woodshop is open beginning February 1, 2014.

CNC Open House
Saturday, February 1st, 2014 from 12:30- 3pm
Lab 401, 320 Newbury St 4th floor.

This Open House is for currently enrolled BAC students and Faculty. A CNC router, or a Computer Numerical Control router, is a computer controlled shaping machine.

The CNC Open House will include an introductory presentation of the new CNC machine and its capabilities. The workshop will be followed by an example cutting job and an overview of the protocols in the CNC handbook, and will end with students working in the software necessary to send models to the machine.
