A geographic information system (GIS) lets us visualize, question, analyze, interpret, and understand data to reveal relationships, patterns, and trends.
This workshop will guide students through an introduction to this powerful analytic software.
Topics covered will include basic principles of cartography, data organization and handling, and graphic conventions, as well as an overview of GIS applications, and several new skills to get you using the tools!
