Notice from Practice :: PracticeLab Scam
Students are advised to be aware of a recent scam posting on PracticeLab, listed under the company AECOM Technology Corporation. Students who reply to this posting receive an email notification in which they are asked to divulge personal information, and are then instructed to re-route money to an account in the Phillippines. This post has been removed and the appropriate actions are being taken by AECOM Corp. to address these fraudulent actions. If any student has replied to a posting by AECOM, s/he is encouraged to contact the Practice Department immediately at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please note that if you are contacted by a recruiter who asks for personal information [i.e. social security number, bank account information, etc.], requests a money transfer of any kind, or sends an email from a non-business address [i.e. AOL, Google, Yahoo], the job is a scam. The Practice Department is working diligently to filter fraudulent postings from the PracticeLab site; in the meantime, students are encouraged to be careful and report any suspicious advertisements or exchanges to email@example.com.
