Blog Pick :: Preservation Nation
Blog Pick:: PreservationNation Blog
by Steve Marcelin, BDS Candidate
The PreservationNation Blog focuses on everything related to historic preservation. Some of the blog writers are staff or interns at the National Trust for Historic Preservation. The public is encouraged to submit items for publication as well.
The Adaptive Reuse section of the blog personally interests me because the items highlighted combine preservation and sustainability. As designers, we can preserve buildings but still upgrade their functionality.
I think that readers can learn a lot of useful information from the Preservation Tips & Tools section on the PreservationNation Blog. The blog post How to Save History Food Establishments was interesting to me because it listed resources and ways that you can help preserve places, whether you are an ordinary member of the public, a real estate entrepreneur, or a designer.
