In his lecture, Mark discusses the relationship between research, curatorship, and architecture across a variety of projects completed by over,under: the Heroic Project, an ongoing research and advocacy initiative into Boston's concrete modernism; Let's Talk About Bikes, Design Biennial Boston, and other exhibitions that engage the public on issues of contemporary relevance, as well as several architectural and urban commissions ranging from a museum in Guatemala to an art school in Qatar to an urban plan for the United Arab Emirates.

Mark Pasnik, AIA is a founding principal of over,under, a Boston-based architecture and design practice. The firm's work includes designs at various scales, from books and exhibitions to a university building in Doha, a museum of Maya art in Guatemala City, a resort master plan in Belize, and urban guidelines for Abu Dhabi's new central business district. Mark has co-curated more than 30 exhibitions on design-related topics such as modernism, architectural publishing, drawing, and urban biking through his gallery, pinkcomma, as well as with the Boston Society of Architects at BSA Space. He co-founded the Design Biennial Boston in 2008, an award program that showcases emerging designers in Massachusetts.
