BAC Instructor Named "40 Under 40"
Blake Jackson recognized by Building Design +Construction Magazine for work in sustainability
BAC Instructor Blake Jackson, AIA, NCARB, LEED Faculty, recently earned recognition as one of the top "40 under 40" architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) professionals for 2015 by Building Design + Construction Magazine. The list represents the emerging leaders in the AEC industry who are making an impact, honoring Blake for his work in sustainability.
"There are so many talented ‘under 40' AEC professionals with immense skill and passion across the country, so to be recognized is truly a huge honor," said Blake. "To be a standout amongst this bright talent pool is assurance that my work to this point has had an impact and purpose, and at the same time, it is a motivator to continue striving to accomplish even greater feats."
Blake is honored for his work and accomplishments as sustainability director at Tsoi / Kobus & Associates. His unique role as a dedicated sustainability professional within an architectural practice is to integrate sustainable design principles throughout all client work, as well as the company internally and the broader community. While sustainability must be successfully weaved through all of Tsoi / Kobus's projects, it is also important to run the firm itself in a socially and environmentally sensitive manner and encourage staff and clientele to be stewards and advocates of sustainable lifestyles.
