The ASID Student Portfolio Competition endeavors to generate the best collection of student design projects for review. Instead of requiring a single project for judging, ASID asks students to upload their entire portfolio for judging. Students will submit their portfolios, resume, and written statement to an online portal.

As a visual presentation of selected projects, the interior design portfolio showcases a designer’s thought process, technical skills, and design capabilities. A thoughtful portfolio sets an interior designer apart from their peers and tells a story. An interior designer begins the process of putting together a portfolio while a student and continues to refine the content throughout his or her career.

Instead of requiring a single project for judging, ASID asks students to upload their entire portfolio for judging. Students will submit their portfolios, resume, and written statement to an online portal. The intent is to evaluate all aspects of a student’s work: the concept for how the student thinks; the content of the work submitted; and the context of the student’s record of achievement.

The submission portal will open in mid-November and submissions will be accepted until January 19, 2016.
