To All Members of the BAC Community:
Following this week’s historic presidential election, many of us are processing complex emotions. In times such as these, it is important to reflect on our strengths as a community. The Boston Architectural College has always embraced, and indeed reveled in, its diversity. We will continue to uphold our institutional mission, striving to offer excellence in design education emerging from practice and accessible to diverse communities. We are committed to providing a safe learning environment and an open gathering place for all students, faculty, staff, and friends of the College.
The end of the semester and approaching holiday season may also create additional stress. Please know that there are resources available to help those who may be struggling. For any issues that may impact your professional or academic commitments, please talk with the relevant faculty member, director, manager, or advisor. For students, the BAC also provides support through the Student Assistance Program (www.studenttalkone2one.com or 800.756.3124).
When I joined the BAC more than a year ago, I was exhilarated to become part of one of the most distinctive spatial design colleges in the country. Today, I am very proud to be part of this strong, multicultural institution, committed to bettering the professions – and the world – through transformative and inclusive design education.
