Superbowl Victory Parade :: (2.7)

To Staff, Students and Faculty,

Please be advised, the New England Patriots’ Super Bowl victory parade is tomorrow, Tuesday, February 7, 2017, beginning at 11:00am.

Please plan accordingly for your commute into the city.  The Boston Police Department will likely begin shutting down streets along and near the route shortly before 11:00am and not reopening them until after the festivities. (Stay tuned to the PD’s Twitter feed for more updates.) We would strongly advise not driving into or through downtown Boston for much of Tuesday’s daylight hours.

The MBTA is the most accessible option keeping in mind you may want to avoid the Green Line along Boylston during the parade, unless you plan to beat the crowds.

When the parade begins at 11:00am it will start at Boylston and Dalton streets in the Back Bay by the Hynes Convention Center.  It will then wind its way approximately 2 miles down Boylston, around the southern end of the Public Garden and the Boston Common, to City Hall Plaza.  You can view the duck boats from the sidewalk along Boylston, the Public Gardens and the Boston Common, or at City Hall Plaza. Please keep in mind weather reports are calling for snow, rain, and sleet, never mind temperatures at or below freezing, you may want to dress in layers in case you have to walk to a subway further away.
