BAC Interior Architecture Student Wins Prestigious Scholarship

Mary Gardner, a bachelor of interior architecture student at The Boston Architectural College (BAC), was awarded the prestigious Angelo Donghia Foundation 2018 Student Scholarship Program in Interior Design. Mary is one of just 12 students to receive the scholarship, and is the only student from a New England college recognized. Student winners receive up to $30,000 toward their senior year tuition, board, living expenses, and books.

"Winning the Angelo Donghia Scholarship is an incredible honor! It feels great and it is so rewarding to be recognized for the hard work I have put into my classes at the BAC," says Mary. "I am very grateful to have a scholarship for my senior year, which will be extremely helpful in covering the costs of my education. Being recognized by this scholarship is inspiring me to work even harder to achieve my goals and success in the interior architecture field."

"The Angelo Donghia Foundation Student Scholarship Program is an incredible opportunity for interior architecture students entering their final year. The Boston Architectural College is honored to have been invited to nominate a student for this competition. We are overjoyed and extremely proud that Mary's work was selected as a winning submission," says Denise Rush, interim dean of the School of Interior Architecture.

The Angelo Donghia Foundation, a privately held not-for-profit organization, launched the Student Scholarship Program in Interior Design in 2002 to support the advancement of education in the field of interior design. The scholarships are awarded to deserving students entering their senior year in a baccalaureate degree program in Interior Design. Application to the scholarship is by invitation only. To be considered, students must have a strong studio GPA, and demonstrate financial need.
